
Bellydance Tutorials & Drills
Learn how to belly dance through accessible and detailed tutorials, practice drills, and choreography breakdowns. No experience necessary. My program is designed for true beginners or those who struggle with some of the most common techniques, and would like to learn how to enjoy belly dance through simple but fun choreography. My style focuses on elegance, and I draw inspiration from the way I grew up, watching aunties dance together at parties. It was beautiful!

This tutorial goes over how you can do the horizontal figure 8 (specifically the Maya), starting low and taking it high. It creates a very beautiful and sensual shape that can be used during musical accents or to round out a combo.

3/4 Shimmy (Hagalla) Tutorial
Detailed tutorial for the 3/4 shimmy, also known as the Hagalla. This is my favorite type of shimmy but it is probably the most challenging. We focus on 3 accented beats followed by a pause. But when we build up to fast tempos, the pause can feel non-existent! This is the precursor to the Algerian twist, sometimes known as the walking shimmy. The main focus is to get comfortable at slower speeds before progressing.
